A proportionate response
Half of the advantage that a lawyer may enjoy in the pursuit of his client’s advantage is the mere factor of his own emotional detachment. You may find that a new view of your issue will open up new perspective and in this light you may see things that perhaps were hidden from your view.
Practical solutions are often best
When we look at a problem within the same perspective in which we have become to view it, we may as a result find that we limit ourselves to a blinkered view not only of the “problem” but also as to its resolution. Often the most useful form of intervention is the practical one and it is the identification of that practical resolution which often is the defining point along the way to realisation of your goal. Direction is key. Time spent travelling is no indicator of how soon the end will be reached – if we are travelling in the wrong direction.
